·Lexonik CEO Attends Windsor Castle Event at Request of His Majesty
Our very own CEO has been recalling her ‘magical evening’ in the company of His Majesty King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
Sarah Ledger was invited to Windsor Castle for an event to mark 400 years since William Shakespeare’s plays were published in collective form.
To celebrate the first ‘folio’, actors, directors and literary leaders were brought together, while extracts from the likes of The Tempest were performed.
Speaking shortly after the special occasion, Sarah said: “It was so unexpected and wonderful to receive an invitation to such a special occasion.
“I’m enormously proud of what Lexonik achieves in the world of literacy, but to find myself with an invitation from the Palace was beyond my wildest dreams.”
She added: “The evening was magical, awe-inspiring and utterly unforgettable.
“There were so many well known actors, actresses, significant business persons, and obviously royalty too.
“I felt so enormously privileged to be representing a slice of the North East, and to be able to talk to many of the guests about the work we do.”
Among other guests at last night’s event were Helena Bonham Carter, Dame Judi Dench, Vanessa Redgrave and David Oyelowo.
Back in Teesside, Sarah and our Lexonik team are completing another busy academic year of providing literacy solutions to schools across the North East, throughout the UK, and as far afield as the United States and the UAE.
