Lexonik CEO Shortlisted For Prestigious Award

Sarah Ledger CEO Lexonik

Here at Lexonik HQ, we’re thrilled to share the news that our very own CEO, Sarah Ledger, has been shortlisted for a major leadership accolade.

We’ve heard this week that she’s made the top five list for the BESA (British Educational Suppliers Association) Awards, in the category of Inspirational Leader.

This is the second year that BESA has set out to recognise the best individuals, organisations and workplaces across the sector.

A panel of judges has spent recent weeks sifting entries, and now the shortlisting for all nine categories has been confirmed.

Sarah, and fellow nominees, will find out who gets to take home the respective prizes, at an award event as part of BESA’s Summer Insight Day on 4th July (and yes…you’re right….that does happen to be a significant date in the UK calendar for other reasons too).

Surprised to have been nominated by colleagues, and even more so to find herself shortlisted for a prestigious accolade, Sarah said: “I’m absolutely blown away to be included in this line-up.

“Being nominated for any category of award is terrific, but for it to be in recognition of my approach to leadership feels particularly special.

“I care deeply about the Lexonik team, the way we deliver our service, and how our customers feel about us.”

She added:

“I’m really very excited to meet peers at the award event and find out what they’re doing in the sector.

“No matter what other reason the majority of the UK population have 4th July in their diary, I know it’s going to be a date of special significance for me!”

Commenting on the shortlist, BESA’s Deputy Director General Julia Garvey, said:

“Now in it’s second year, I am thrilled so see the strength and depth of talent represented in the shortlist for the BESA Awards. We have entries from across the industry, from well-established names to start ups, and companies big and small. The shortlist reflects the amazing achievements and wonderful people at the heart of the BESA community and I can’t wait to celebrate their success when we announce the winners on 4 July.”
