Best Foot Forward: Lexonik Has Community at its Heart
If there’s one thing we like to consistently ask ourselves as a proud Teesside business, it’s whether we’re evidencing the compassion and respect we feel for our community.
Sure, we can easily tell you about the hundreds of schoolchildren whose lives we impact directly through our literacy programmes.
And we can tell you about the teachers across the country who repeatedly provide feedback about how much more engaged they feel in their teaching careers, and in their knowledge of reading tuition.
But beyond our classroom work, we’re proudly and deliberately engaged as champions of this region, advocating for, and supportive of, the voluntary sector which does so much for families, individuals and communities.
Last week was a perfect example of that commitment.
Firstly, we celebrated our sponsorship of this year’s Teesside Hospice Rudolph Run.
The event itself takes place in December, but with excitement and planning activity beginning to build, we joined various organisations and supporters for a corporate award event at the wonderful Hardwick Hall.
Our team were treated to delicious food in a beautiful setting, and really enjoyed hearing more about what this year’s event will entail.
Also this week, we put our ‘best foot forward’ as part of the Butterwick Corporate Charity Football Match, being staged in aid of Butterwick Hospice.
Our very own Account Manager Ed Mooney took to the pitch – Riverside Stadium, home of Middlesbrough FC – and made a valuable contribution as part of the Butterwick Corporate Blues team.
Ed enjoyed his involvement enormously and was able to help the side to secure a third place overall.
You’ll hear much more from us in the coming weeks and months about our community activity, and the kind of social action which drives us as a business, but which also resonates with individual employees for specific reasons.
